The Electromobility and Alternative Fuels Act imposes new obligations on businesses from 1 January 2025 – especially to have electric vehicle charging stations.

The new legislation is designed to accelerate growth of electric vehicle infrastructure – the current density of the charging network is far from sufficient.

The new obligations include, without limitation, having a certain number of charging points and conduits for electric cables and wires depending on the real property type and/or the ongoing construction work and enterprise size.

In short, the new obligations apply mainly to large enterprises which own real properties with car parks.
