August will see new calls for proposals from businesses to finance investments in green transition from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). They are addressed to large enterprises and offer attractive grants and soft loans.

Below is an overview of the planned calls for proposals.

Investments in implementation of environmentally-friendly technologies and innovations

The call for proposals in the scheme named ‘Investments in implementation of environmentally-friendly technologies and innovations’, including those related to circular economy, will start on 8 August 2024.It targets large enterprises and consortia consisting of such enterprises and at least one research organisation.

Aid will be available for projects that aim to develop at least one technology (solution) innovative at national scale, that contributes to the growth of the market for recyclable materials, and is commercialised.

Funding will also be available for undertakings that support technologies contributing to the growth of the market for recyclable materials, with the aim of creating a more efficient economy by, among other things:

  • increasing quantities of recyclable materials;
  • reducing quantities of primary materials used in manufacturing processes;
  • reducing quantities of waste stored in landfills.

Grants may be used to finance:

  • R&D on technologies that contribute to the growth of the market for recyclable materials;
  • pre-implementation and implementation work on the marketing of solutions developed in the course of the undertaking;
  • purchases of R&D infrastructure to develop technologies that contribute to the growth of the market for recyclable materials.

Proposals may be submitted from 8 August 2024 to 31 October 2024.

The call budget is 346 million zloty. The aid may range from 10 million to 69.2 million zloty.

Energy efficiency and RES in business – projects with the biggest potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

Aid in the form of soft loans will be intended to reduce consumption of final energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in businesses.

Aid will be available to large enterprises.

Call for proposals dates: from August 2024 until there is enough projects to sign at least 43 loan agreements or until the budget of 1.3 billion zloty runs out.

Construction of Polish offshore wind farms

The call for proposals is addressed to enterprises which produce or intend to produce electricity from wind in offshore wind farms, and which implement projects as part of the first stage of construction of Polish offshore wind farms, outside the auction system.

Aid will be available also to projects participating in the second stage of the offshore wind auctions.
The supported projects are expected to reduce pollution and CO2 emissions in electricity production by increasing the share of low-emission energy sources from offshore wind farms in the energy mix, thus replacing high-emission production sources with renewable energy produced offshore.

Proposals may submitted from August 2024 until the budget of 20.5 billion zloty runs out.
