Real property tax – more time to file your return

To benefit from the new preference, you need to submit the relevant notice to the revenue authorities by 31 January 2025 and pay the first three instalments of real property tax based on the previous year's figures. 

The deadline may be extended following a change in legislation effective since January 2025. If the above conditions are met, the deadline for filing the return is extended by two months, which gives the taxpayers time to get familiar with the new regulations. This is a key issue for entities which own real properties as the amended Real Property Tax Act may affect the classification of structures and the rules of their taxation. A stocktaking and detailed classification of the real properties owned is necessary to fill out the real property tax return for 2025 properly.
