Electricity storage facilities – call for proposals soon to be open

The call for proposals to be funded from the new aid programme called “Electricity storage facilities and related infrastructure for improving the stability of the Polish electricity grid” financed from the EU Modernisation Fund will be open from 4 April to 30 May 2025. 


Who may apply for the funding?


The scheme targets all enterprises except those from the financial sector. It offers financial support for the construction of electricity storage facilities with no less than 2 MW in power and a capacity of at least 4 MWh, connected to the distribution and transmission grids of any voltage. 


Budget


The programme's budget is 4.15 billion zloty, of which:


  1. non-repayable aid – up to 3.735 thousand zloty,
  2. repayable aid – up to 415 million zloty.

The aid will be granted in the form of subsidies or loans with aid intensity of:


  • up to 45% of total project costs in the case of large enterprises;
  • up to 55% of total project costs in the case of medium-sized enterprises;
  • up to 65% of total project costs in the case of small enterprises;
  • up to 100% of total project costs in the case of a loan.
