Please be reminded about the obligation to include the BDO registration number (the Polish abbreviation “BDO” stands for the database of products, packaging and waste management) on all documents you prepare in connection with your business activity. The obligation takes effect from the date of assigning the BDO number by the registration authority and applies to all entities entered in the BDO register.

The BDO number must be disclosed in e.g. VAT invoices, cash register receipts, sales agreements, reports. Please make sure if you comply with this obligation.

Failure to include the registration number in the above-mentioned documents is an administrative offence and may trigger an administrative fine from 5,000 zloty to 1,000,000 zloty.

If you are not entered in the BDO Register, please check if you must be registered and if you comply with your waste management obligations. Please note that running a business without the required entry in the BDO register may result in an administrative fine of up to 1,000,000 zloty.
