New categories of goods covered by SENT

A regulation amending the list of agricultural products whose transport is monitored by the SENT system became law on 12 August 2023.

This is yet another change to SENT in the last few months. Therefore, we recommend carefully reviewing the goods you purchase in terms of the new obligations. 
 
The regulation covers goods with the following CN codes:

  • ex 0207 – meat of poultry of heading 0105, fresh, chilled or frozen, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 250 kg,
  • ex 0407 – birds' eggs in shell, fresh, if the number of eggs in a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 2,500,
  • 0408 – birds' eggs, not in shell, and egg yolks, fresh, dried, cooked by steaming or by boiling in water, moulded, frozen or otherwise preserved, whether or not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 100 kg,
  • 0409 00 00 – natural honey, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods under this code exceeds 10 kg,
  • ex 0810 10 00 – fresh strawberries, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this code exceeds 3,000 kg,
  • 0810 20 10 – fresh raspberries, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods under this code exceeds 3,000 kg,
  • 0810 40 50 – fruit of the species Vaccinium macrocarpon and Vaccinium corymbosum fresh, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this code exceeds 3,000 kg,
  • ex 0811 10 – strawberries uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water, frozen, whether or not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this code exceeds 3,000 kg,
  • 0811 20 31 – raspberries uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water, frozen, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods under this code exceeds 3,000 kg,
  • 0811 20 39 – blackcurrants uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water, frozen, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this code exceeds 3,000 kg,
  • 0811 90 50 – fruit of the species Vaccinium myrtillus uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water, frozen, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this code exceeds 3,000 kg,
  • 0811 90 95 – other fruit uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water, frozen, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods under this code exceeds 500 kg,
  • 1101 00 – wheat or meslin flour, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 100 kg,
  • 1102 – cereal flours other than of wheat or meslin, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 100 kg,
  • ex 2009 79 – concentrated apple juice, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods under this code exceeds 10,000 kg,
  • ex 1001 – wheat, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 10,000 kg,
  • 1005 – maize, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 10,000 kg,
  • ex 1205 – rape seed, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 10,000 kg,
  • 1206 00 – sunflower seed, whether or not broken, if the gross weight of a consignment of goods of this heading exceeds 10,000 kg.

For meat, eggs, honey, soft fruit, flour and concentrated juice, the obligation to report the transport to SENT will apply to goods originating in Ukraine:

  • released for free circulation in the European Union or
  • transported from the territory of a third country.

For wheat, maize, rape seed and sunflower seed, the obligation to report the transport to SENT will apply to goods transported:

  • from the territory of a Member State or from the territory of a third country into Poland,
  • from the territory of one Member State to the territory of another Member State or a third country, through Poland, except where the customs transit procedure is used.
