Energy-intensive industries – RES: Call for proposals

Applications for preferential loans under the Energy Intensive Industries – RES priority programme may be submitted by 30 April 2023. The call for applications is permanent, until the funds earmarked for the programme, i.e. 650 million zloty, are exhausted. The programme aims to decarbonise energy-intensive industries in Poland by increasing electricity generation from renewable energy sources (RES).

Types of eligible investment projects

The call for proposals concerns investment projects consisting in the construction or reconstruction of RES installations together with energy storage facilities or in connecting them to the on-site and/or distribution/transmission network.

In order to apply for aid for an energy storage facility, it must be integrated with the energy source that will be implemented in parallel as part of the investment project. To obtain the subsidy, at least 80% of the generated energy must be used for the enterprise's own purposes.

Beneficiaries

The programme is for enterprises having legal interest in an ETS installation (ownership, perpetual usufruct or permanent management).

Principles of support

The co-funding will be provided in the form of a loan of up to 100% of eligible costs, with an option of a bonus of up to 30% of the loan amount, subject to restrictions arising from state aid.

The loan ranges from 5 million zloty to 300 million zloty and is granted for a maximum of 20 years.
