Businesses from industries particularly heavily affected by the high energy prices may reapply for aid from the government aid scheme between 1 and 15 February this year.

The scheme is addressed to all companies from the mining and industrial processing sectors. This is the second call under the 2023 scheme (for the period from 1 July 2023 to 31 December 2023) with the budget of 5.5 billion zloty.

Target group

The aid is available to all energy-intensive businesses, meaning those:

  • that operate predominantly in sections B or C of the Polish Classification of Activities (PKD); and
  • whose electricity and natural gas bills in 2021 accounted for no less than 3% of the value of production sold.

The basic aid is 50% of the eligible costs up to 4 million euro, calculated in total for all associated enterprises registered in Poland. The compensation for the incurred electricity costs is not available to entities authorised to buy it at the capped price in the qualified period.
