Polish president has signed into law amended Labour Code introducing provisions on remote work and alcohol testing.

This means that the bill has been submitted for promulgation in the Journal of Laws. It will become law 14 days after its promulgation, except the provisions on remote work – they will come into force 2 months after their promulgation.

Amendments to the Labour Code on remote work will also repeal the existing provisions on telework and remote work under the Covid Act. This means that remote work policies and contracts with remote workers will need to be adjusted. The rules of arranging remote work with employees and the rules of accounting for remote work allowances and lump sums will also change.

The bill has been signed after the Sejm rejected all the amendments proposed by the Senate.
