The Ministry of Finance has recently published another draft regulation amending the SENT, which is the System for Electronic Supervision of Transport of sensitive goods. The changes affect the categories of goods that have to be reported.

Which new goods are reportable?

According to the draft regulation, transport and collection of the following goods, among others, will have to be reported:

  • fruit (e.g. raspberries, strawberries, currants),
  • flour,
  • condensed apple juice,
  • poultry,
  • fresh bird eggs in shell or processed bird eggs not in shell.

The obligation will not apply to all goods, but only those originating from Ukraine, which have been already admitted to trading in the European Union. Additionally, the monitoring system will cover shipments of the above-listed goods only if the shipment weight exceeds the value set in the regulation.

Furthermore, the draft stipulates the obligation to report to SENT shipments of the following products if the shipment weight exceeds 10 thousand kg:

  • wheat,
  • corn,
  • rape and sunflower seeds.

In this respect, monitoring will cover intra-Community acquisition and carriage of such goods across Poland, except in transit, regardless of whether they come from Ukraine or not.

This is yet another change to SENT in the last few months. Consequently, we recommend an in-depth review of the goods you buy in terms of new obligations.

If you have any questions on how to classify the goods you purchase or how to complete and submit SENT notifications using the PUESC system, you are welcome to contact us. We will be glad to answer your questions and support you in fulfilling the above obligations.
