The Ministry of Finance has announced that it is working on solutions postponing the obligation for enterprises to integrate online cash registers with payment terminals until 1 January 2025.

Under the Polish Deal, enterprises would be obliged from 1 July 2022 to ensure integration of online cash registers with payment terminals following technical requirements for cash registers.

The obligation postponed until the end of 2024 means that during that period no fines of PLN 5,000 will be imposed on enterprises for having non-integrated devices.

In dialogue with business, including representatives of the payment devices market, the Minister of Finance is working on establishing a substitute obligation to report information on non-cash payments.

The obligation to report information on non-cash payments – to be introduced during the postponement of the integration obligation – will apply to acquirers only.
