Grants for businesses

European funds for Poland under the new EU budget for years 2021–2027 will total about 76 billion euro and should be launched in 2022.
 
A big chunk of the funds is to support businesses. They will be distributed through national as well as regional calls for proposals under approved aid programmes. Work on final versions of operational programmes and the National Recovery Plan is pending.
 
Draft partnership agreement between Poland and the European Union, which sets the strategy for the use of the EU funds, was submitted to the European Commission (EC) on 15 December 2021 and the Commission has 4 months to approve it. The 3-month deadline for Poland to submit draft aid programmes for EC approval started on the same date.
 

European Funds for the Modern Economy (EFME, or FENG in Polish)

 
The Council of Ministers passed the resolution approving the draft EFME programme (budget of about 7.9 billion euro) on 6 December 2021. Once approved by the EC, it will be the key source of support for businesses that invest in research and development activities or infrastructure.
 
R&D projects may receive funding for the following additional modules:

• implementation of innovations;
• digitalisation;
• greening of enterprises;
• competences;
• internationalisation.
