Another, third version of the Bill on the Protection of Whistleblowers, i.e. persons who report or disclose breaches of law in the private or public sector, was published on the website of the Government Legislation Centre on 7 July 2022. The bill requires private entities (enterprises) to have an internal procedure for reporting breaches of law (so-called whistleblowing procedure).

Under the new bill, large enterprises (private entities for which at least 250 people work) will be required to establish an appropriate internal procedure 2 months after the promulgation of the law.

The draft deadline for private entities for which at least 50 and less than 250 people work has not changed – they must establish an internal whistleblowing procedure by 17 December 2023.

The bill has been passed on for consultation and opinion. Rödl & Partner experts will keep you updated on the progress of legislative work and will assist you in implementing relevant internal regulations.
