SENT – New categories of goods covered by the system

The regulation stipulates that the importation into or transit through Poland of goods such as:

- will be covered by the road monitoring system. 

The explanatory notes to the bill indicate that the regulation affects micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as they become required to declare the transport of the listed goods in the SENT system and to ensure that geolocation data of the means of transport carrying these goods are transmitted to the system.

Transports of goods that commenced before the date of entry into force of the regulation are subject to the old rules. 

It is also important to remember that anyone who sends, receives or transports the so-called sensitive goods or trades in heating fuels is required to declare the transport in the electronic SENT system and to ensure that the records are complete and up-to-date. There are severe financial penalties for failing to declare goods in the system or for declaring information that is not true to the facts.
