Additional criteria for aid

An enterprise should additionally have the SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) status under applicable laws. These are enterprises which, together with their associated and partner enterprises, have between 1 and 249 employees and a turnover of less than 50 million euro or a balance sheet total of less than 43 million euro. The status of an enterprise is established on the basis of EU regulations.

In addition, the enterprise has to show a minimum 30% drop in turnover from April to December 2020 or in Q4 2020 compared to the same period in 2019 – a pandemic-induced decline.

The amount of the subsidy depends on the status of the enterprise, the number of employees and the loss shown. The maximum amount of the subsidy is 3.5 million zloty per beneficiary.

How to apply for aid

To obtain the aid you have to meet the requirements under the programme, submit an application for financial aid and sign a subsidy contract with the Polish Development Fund (PFR).

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises may apply for a subsidy via electronic banking on the websites of selected banks – 18 commercial banks and the majority of cooperative banks have declared their readiness to participate in the programme.

The call for applications is open until 28 February 2021.
